ARC Volunteers provide the resources and direction our caregivers need as they navigate life with a loved one suffering from addiction or mental illness.
This is not a clinical program and no medical or clinical experience is required. There is no time commitment requirement and client engagement is flexible based on each volunteer’s preferences. Volunteers will be expected to go through necessary background checks and participate in Arc’s training program for Volunteers.
Resource Navigators
Resource Navigators work directly with caregivers to help them identify and access appropriate services. Volunteers in this role focus on guiding families toward relevant treatment providers, community programs, financial assistance options, housing resources, and other practical support based on their specific circumstances.
This role is centered on information-sharing, resource connection, and helping families take clear next steps.
Community Support Volunteers
Community Support Volunteers assist with tangible, task-based needs that help ease day-to-day burdens for caregivers. This may include providing rides, delivering groceries, assisting with childcare, or providing respite items such as restaurant gift cards or movie tickets.
Interactions may be brief and focused on fulfilling a specific need, offering practical assistance that lightens immediate stress.
Fulfilling our mission of being a lifeline for caregivers doesn’t happen without our selfless volunteer team.
